High Power Laser Therapy
Advanced Laser Technology for Treating Pain, Swelling, and Inflammation
High Power Laser (HPL), specifically Class 4 Laser therapy, is an advanced medical treatment that utilizes a specific wavelength of light (980 nm). This invisible, coherent light can penetrate through the skin and deep into tissue layers up to 5–10 cm. It is highly effective in stimulating a "Biological Effect" within the tissues, making it a primary choice for treating pain related to the musculoskeletal system.
With modern laser technology, HPL can deliver high-intensity energy without generating excessive or dangerous surface heat, ensuring a safe treatment experience.

Key Advantages of HPL Therapy
- Painless Procedure: Patients experience a warm, comfortable sensation during treatment. As a non-invasive procedure, it avoids the pain associated with needles or invasive techniques like injections or acupuncture.
- Immediate Results: One of the most significant benefits is the immediate relief. Patients often report a 40–50% improvement in inflammation and pain immediately after the first session, especially in acute cases.
- Fast Session Times: HPL therapy is highly efficient, requiring only 5–10 minutes per treatment point.
- Short Treatment Course: While traditional physical therapy can take weeks, laser stimulation accelerates tissue recovery. Acute injuries often show results from the first visit (typically 3–5 sessions total), while chronic conditions may require more than 5 sessions.
- Effective for All Stages: HPL can be used for acute, sub-acute, and chronic conditions. It is particularly effective for acute inflammation, an advantage over other equipment that cannot be used during the initial stage of injury.
Who can benefit from HPL Therapy?

Group 1: Musculoskeletal Pain: Effective for both acute and chronic pain in muscles, bones, joints, and tendons. This includes conditions like muscle inflammation, shoulder tendonitis, Tennis Elbow, Trigger Finger, Plantar Fasciitis, knee osteoarthritis, back/waist pain, herniated discs, and sports injuries.

Group 2: Neurological Pain and Numbness: Treats numbness in hands and feet caused by peripheral neuropathy (often from diabetes), chemotherapy side effects, stroke recovery, Bell's Palsy (facial paralysis), Trigeminal Neuralgia, or Shingles.

Group 3: Swelling and Bruising: Reduces swelling from injuries, subcutaneous bleeding, arm swelling after breast surgery (Lymphedema), and lymphatic blockages.

Group 4: Wound Healing: Assists in treating diabetic ulcers and pressure sores. (Note: Bleeding must have stopped before treatment. The laser reduces inflammation and accelerates tissue repair and closure).
Please consult a doctor or physical therapist before receiving service if you fall into these categories:
- High-risk patients: Those with diabetes, sensory perception issues, or communication barriers.
- Pregnant patients: Laser should not be used on the abdomen or back.
- Patients with active bleeding wounds.
- Patients with Pacemakers.
- Patients on high doses of steroids (effectiveness may be reduced).
*Protective laser eyewear will be provided to all patients during the procedure.*
