The Elderly & Bedridden Nursing Care Center at Khonkaen Ram Hospital (Kkram Nursing Care) provides comprehensive, professional care for bedridden patients, the elderly, individuals in post-surgery recovery, stroke patients (paralysis/paresis), and those requiring tube feeding or tracheostomy care. We also support patients with various chronic illnesses who cannot perform daily activities independently or lack dedicated care at home.
Our center is staffed by an experienced multidisciplinary medical team, including physicians, registered nurses, physical therapists, clinical dietitians, nutritionists, pharmacists, and specialized ICU personnel. Equipped with modern medical devices and standard facilities, we ensure maximum patient safety with a 24-hour monitoring system.
- Personal Hygiene & Daily Care: Assistance with bathing, body cleaning, and clothing changes.
- Nutritional Support: Meal preparation, feeding assistance, or nasogastric tube (NG tube) feeding tailored to individual health needs and medical conditions, with strict aspiration (choking) prevention. (Families may provide meals or request the hospital to prepare customized fresh, hygienic, and diet-compliant blended formulas).
- Medication Management: Precise administration and monitoring of prescribed medications according to the schedule.
- Excretory Care: Compassionate assistance with elimination needs and thorough post-excretory hygiene.
- Pressure Injury Management: Specialized wound care for existing bedsores to prevent infection, combined with pressure ulcer prevention through scheduled position changes (repositioning every 2 hours) and gentle physical movements.
- Respiratory Care: Continuous monitoring of breathing patterns, airway clearance, and mucus suctioning (suction care) as required.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Routine tracking of body temperature, blood pressure, and respiratory rate. In the event of any clinical abnormalities, family members will be notified immediately.
- Rehabilitative Activities: Basic physical therapy and customized physical recovery exercises tailored to the patient’s daily condition.
- Mental & Emotional Wellbeing: Emotional encouragement through daily conversations, reading aloud, music therapy, and accompanied walks outside the ward to enjoy the garden environment.
