“Not just knowing you have high lipids, but diving deep into the 'types and particles' of fats that cause arterial blockages”
In addition to a standard Lipid Profile (Cholesterol, Triglyceride, HDL, LDL), the key highlight of this program is testing for Lipoprotein (a), Apolipoprotein A (Apo A), and Apolipoprotein B (Apo B). This examines the levels of lipid-carrying proteins in the blood to assess the risk of coronary artery disease more accurately than looking at total cholesterol or LDL alone.
Suitable for
- Working-age adults or individuals who are starting to pay attention to their health.
- Individuals with pre-existing high blood lipids (those who may be taking lipid-lowering medication or consistently have high lipid levels from general health check-ups, and thus want to see in detail how dangerous these high lipid particles are to their blood vessel walls).
- Individuals who want to monitor their blood lipid levels more deeply than a general annual health check-up. (Because in many cases, total cholesterol levels may appear normal, but in reality, there may be small lipid particles hiding risks.)
Preparation before the health check-up
- Fast from food and beverages for 8 hours prior to the check-up (drinking plain water is allowed).
