This test measures blood levels of sugar, insulin, fats, free radicals, uric acid, and inflammatory markers in the body to screen for the risk of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). These include insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, diabetes, obesity, gout, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, and stroke, to enable appropriate health planning moving forward.
Suitable for: The following individuals
- Those with high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, or diabetes.
- Those who are overweight or obese.
- Women who have had gestational diabetes during pregnancy.
- Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
- Those with risky behaviors, such as smoking, lack of exercise, frequent consumption of very sweet foods, high-fat foods, and processed foods.
- Those who frequently feel hungry, weak, or fatigued, especially after meals.
- Those whose fasting blood sugar levels are slightly higher than normal but do not yet meet the diagnostic criteria for diabetes.
- Those with a family history of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and diabetes.
Preparation
- Fast from food and drinks (except plain water) for at least 12 hours.
- Wear loose-fitting clothing for blood pressure measurement and blood drawing.
