PRP Facial Rejuvenation with Concentrated Platelets

What is PRP?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a concentration of platelets derived from your own blood. The blood is centrifuged to separate its layers, isolating the platelets and high concentrations of Growth Factors. These have properties that stimulate cell growth and division, as well as collagen and elastin production. This helps repair degenerated tissue, create new skin cells, strengthen the facial skin, fill in and reduce the depth of scars, and improve skin elasticity for a more youthful appearance.

What are the benefits of PRP for the face?

  • Rejuvenates aging and sagging skin, making it firmer and healthier.
  • Stimulates skin repair, helping to reduce acne scars and pitted scars.
  • Tightens pores for smoother, more radiant-looking skin.
  • Reduces inflammatory acne, comedonal acne, and skin inflammation.
  • Balances melanin production, helping to reduce dark spots, melasma, freckles, post-acne marks (hyperpigmentation), and dark circles under the eyes.
  • Repairs dull, dry, and damaged skin from sun exposure, dust, and pollution, making it more hydrated and radiant.
  • PRP injections are very safe with a very low risk of allergic reaction because they use your own blood.

The PRP Facial Injection Procedure

  1. A staff member will draw 10cc of your blood.
  2. The blood is then centrifuged to separate the PRP layer from the white and red blood cells, resulting in a high concentration of platelets (PRP).
  3. A staff member will cleanse your face and apply a topical anesthetic cream.
  4. The doctor injects the PRP into your facial skin.
  5. The entire procedure takes approximately 1-2 hours.

How many PRP sessions are needed and how far apart?

It is recommended to have 3 consecutive sessions, spaced one month apart. After that, follow-up injections may be scheduled annually.

Why choose facial PRP at the Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine Clinic, Khon Kaen Ram Hospital?

  1. A doctor provides the consultation, facial assessment, and performs the treatment to suit each individual's needs.
  2. We use specialized tubes specifically designed for PRP preparation, ensuring high-quality PRP.
  3. The collection tube contains a gel layer that effectively separates platelets from red and white blood cells, resulting in high-quality, highly concentrated platelets.
  4. The PRP separation process uses aseptic techniques, and all preparation steps are performed in a closed system to ensure it is free from contaminants.
  5. We use a centrifuge specifically designed for PRP, which controls the optimal rotation speed and tube angle to achieve a high percentage of platelets.
