This test detects **cancer DNA from the patient's stool** (Stool DNA Test for Colorectal Cancer Screening) using Multiplex Methylation Specific PCR technology.

Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer is the **3rd most common cancer worldwide** and the **2nd leading cause of cancer death globally** (Source: WHO, 2018).

In Thailand, colorectal cancer is among the **top 5 most common cancers**, with over 10,000 new cases and 6,845 deaths annually (Source: National Health Security Office). It ranks as the **1st most common cancer in men** (20.7%) and the **2nd most common in women** (12.2%) (Source: Cancer Registry 2020, National Cancer Institute).

  • Everyone aged 50 and above has an increased risk (+11%).
  • Aged 50 and above + a family history of colorectal cancer increases the risk further (+20%).

Why is Colorectal Cancer Screening Important?

If detected early and treated appropriately, the survival rate for patients with colorectal cancer is as high as **90%**. However, once the disease has spread to other organs, the survival rate drops to just **10%**. Therefore, screening is crucial for initiating treatment at the earliest stage.

Who Should Get Screened for Colorectal Cancer?

  • The general population aged **45 years and older**.
