Khon Kaen Ram Hospital Organizes "Mass Casualty Incident" Drill 2025 to Prepare for All Emergency Situations
On November 24, 2025, Khon Kaen Ram Hospital conducted an emergency action plan drill for a "Mass Casualty Incident." The drill was led by the executive team, doctors, nurses, medical personnel, and all support teams to review and test the readiness of the crisis management system, ensuring the highest efficiency in responding to incidents with a large number of casualties.
This drill simulated a scenario where the hospital's Emergency Department was notified by the 1669 Command Center about the impending transfer of emergency patients from a house fire in the Sam Liam community, which is considered a high-risk event. The exercise emphasized the entire process, starting from receiving the incident report, transferring patients via ambulance, and triaging the severity of injuries at the ER, to the coordination of multidisciplinary teams in providing urgent and accurate medical treatment.
After the completion of the drill, the working committee held a debriefing meeting to summarize the operation's results, evaluating strengths and areas for improvement. This was to ensure that Khon Kaen Ram Hospital's emergency action plan remains rigorous, up-to-date, and ready to safeguard the lives of all patients 24 hours a day.
