Annual "Mass Casualty Incident" Drill 2026

Khon Kaen Ram Hospital conducted the 2026 "Mass Casualty Incident" emergency response drill to prepare for all emergency situations.

On July 24, 2026, Khon Kaen Ram Hospital carried out a "Mass Casualty Incident" emergency response plan drill led by the executive board, medical team, nurses, healthcare personnel, and all support teams. The drill aimed to review and test the readiness of the crisis management system, ensuring the highest efficiency in responding to incidents with large numbers of injured or sick individuals.

This drill simulated a high-risk scenario where the hospital's Emergency Department received emergency patients from a fire incident at the Khon Kaen Ram Radiotherapy Center building. The focus was placed on processes ranging from receiving the initial alert, patient transport via ambulances, triage assessment, to multidisciplinary team coordination for urgent and accurate treatment.

Following the drill, the working committee held a debriefing session to evaluate strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring that "Khon Kaen Ram Hospital's emergency plan is comprehensive, up-to-date, and fully prepared to safeguard the lives of patients 24 hours a day."
