Self-Care After PRK
- Maintain a normal diet, but strictly avoid alcoholic beverages.
- On the first day after the procedure, avoid work or activities; resting and sleeping is recommended.
- Strictly follow the eye drop schedule prescribed by the doctor. Always wash your hands thoroughly before applying drops.
- Wear sunglasses whenever you go outdoors for 2 weeks to protect your eyes from dust, smoke, wind, and sunlight, as these irritants can hinder visual recovery.
- Be careful not to let water get into your eyes for 2 weeks. Do not swim or go diving for 1 month.
- Do not rub your eyes for 2 weeks.
- Never remove the therapeutic contact lens yourself. The doctor will remove it during your follow-up appointment, typically 5 days after the procedure.
- Attend all follow-up appointments as scheduled by the doctor.
Symptoms You May Experience on the First Day

- Vision will initially be blurry, especially when reading, but it will gradually improve over time.
