Early Detection, Higher Chance of Cure

Detecting cancer in its early stage increases the survival rate to **90–95%**. However, over 70% of patients are diagnosed in later stages, making treatment more difficult and resulting in a high financial burden for the patient and their family. Data from the WHO estimates that cancer mortality rates will increase by 45% in 2027 (BE 2573).

Therefore, finding cancer early allows for quicker treatment and a higher survival rate, as well as helping to reduce the burden of medical costs.

Screening with the SPOT-MAS Method

The technology for Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) using the **SPOT-MAS** method screens for cancer by detecting cancer cell DNA released into the bloodstream (**Circulating Tumor DNA: ctDNA**) using **Next-Generation Sequencing** technology. This allows for the simultaneous detection of multiple cancer types from the initial stage in asymptomatic individuals with just a single blood draw. Results are available within 30 working days.

Detects 10 Types of Early-Stage Cancer in a Single Test (10 Cancer Screening, SPOT-MAS)

  1. Liver Cancer
  2. Lung Cancer
  3. Breast Cancer
  4. Colorectal Cancer
  5. Stomach Cancer
  6. Ovarian Cancer
  7. Pancreatic Cancer
  8. Esophageal Cancer
  9. Uterine Cancer
  10. Bile Duct Cancer

Advantages

  • It is an easy, fast, and minimally invasive method, as it requires only a single blood draw to screen for multiple types of cancer.
  • It is non-invasive and does not require procedures like surgery to obtain a tissue biopsy.
  • It is accurate, with a specificity of 95.9% and a sensitivity of 73.9%*.

Who should get tested?

  • Individuals aged 40 and over, as this is an age group with an increased risk for various cancers and is the age recommended by the WHO for cancer screening.
  • Regular smokers or drinkers of alcohol.
  • Those living in areas with high levels of PM2.5 pollution.
  • Individuals with a family history of cancer, who may have a risk of genetic cancer.
  • Individuals aged 18 and over who wish to screen for cancer early.

Additionally, you should undergo regular health check-ups, such as screenings for breast and cervical cancer, as well as annual health check-ups tailored to your age and individual risk factors. If abnormalities are detected in the early stages, treatment can be started promptly.
